Hours, Schedule and Calendar for 2022-23

Main Office Information

Unity Braxton Middle School's main office is open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each school day and on teacher work days.

School Hours and Bell Schedule

UBMS School Hours are 8:15am - 2:55pm

Arrival:
Students must be in Advisory/1st Period at 8:15 a.m. every morning.
School doors open at 7:45am and all students must enter through Door 1 and go into the cafeteria.  As buses arrive, they will dimsiss students to enter through Door 1 and remain in the cafeteria until they are dismissed at 8:05 to make their way to their Advisory/ 1st Period.   Walkers and car riders who arrive after 8:15 am, must enter the Main Office and sign in to recieve a tardy pass to 1st Period. 

Dismissal:
Students will be dismissed beginning at 2:55pm. The first group dismissed are car riders followed by walkers.  Bus riders will then be released to board their bus. If a bus is late, those bus riders will be directed to wait in the cafeteria with adult supervision.  

Students being picked up early must be picked up by 2:35 pm and signed out in the main office.  If parent/ guardian arrives after 2:35, they must wait in the car rider line to pick up their student. 

Sports, Clubs, and Other After School Activities

Students staying after school for activities, clubs and sports should be picked up at either 4 or 5 p.m. depending upon the time the club sponsor has set for the activity. Students must be picked up by a parent (or may walk home if they are a walker) for activities that end at 4:00pm.

Athletic teams practice from 3 until 4:45 p.m. Parents should arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. for pickup. Students attending either after-school activities or team practices that end at 5:00pm may be picked up by a parent, walk home if they or a walker, or they may ride the activity bus home on Monday - Thursday. Activity bus stops are different than normal bus stops, and students who use them may have a longer distance to walk in order to get home. Activity bus stops will be shared once they are established for the 2023-24 school year.
