Main Office Information

Unity Braxton Middle School's main office is open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each school day and on teacher work days.

Summer School - July 2022

UBMS will be hosting a central summer school program for students from Unity Braxton, Marsteller and Parkside Middle Schools. We will also be a host school for ESY programs, and extension camps. The central summer school program will run Monday - Friday from 7:45am - 11:30am each day. The program begins on July 11 and will end on July 29.

School Hours and Bell Schedule

UBMS School Hours are 8:15am - 2:55pm

Arrival:
Students must be in Advisory/1st Period at 8:15 a.m. every morning.
Walkers and car riders who are eating breakfast may enter through the main doors beginning at 7:50am. Walkers and car riders who are not eating breakfast will be permitted to enter through the library doors at 8:05am. Bus riders will be released from their buses at 8:05am. Those eating breakfast will enter the main doors, and go directly to the cafeteria where they will have a "grab and go" breakfast - taking it directly to homeroom. Bus riders not eating breakfast will enter through the library doors.

Dismissal:
Students will be dismissed beginning at 2:55pm. The first group dismissed will be for the buses that have arrived. After the halls clear, the next group dismissed will be our walkers and car riders. After the halls clear, the final dismissal group will be for late buses to report directly to the cafeteria and for any students staying after school to report directly to their sponsor / coach.

Sports, Clubs, and Other After School Activities

Students staying after school for activities, clubs and sports should be picked up at either 4 or 5 p.m. depending upon the time the club sponsor has set for the activity. Students must be picked up by a parent (or may walk home if they are a walker) for activities that end at 4:00pm.

Athletic teams practice from 3 until 4:45 p.m. Parents should arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. for pickup. Students attending either after-school activities or team practices that end at 5:00pm may be picked up by a parent, walk home if they or a walker, or they may ride the activity bus home on Monday - Thursday. Activity bus stops are different than normal bus stops, and students who use them may have a longer distance to walk in order to get home. Activity bus stops will be shared once they are established for the 2022-23 school year
