During Winter Weather, PWCS may have to make decisions that impact school operations. PWCS uses a color code system to identify how school operations are impacted. A brief summary of how each code impacts school operations for students is listed below. Please view the PWCS Inclement Weather page for more complete information on how these codes impact school operations for students and staff.

Code Red:
Schools and Offices are Closed, Virtual classes are canceled, SACC will not be open. All school activities are canceled for the day. Students may use the day optionally to catch-up or voluntarily work on assignments that have already been assigned.

Code Green:
Schools are closed, and Offices are Closed to the Public. Virtual classes are cancelled. SACC will not be open. All school activities are canceled for the day. Students may use the day to optionally catch-up or voluntarily work on assignments that have already been assigned.

Code Orange:
Schools and Offices are Closed, Asynchronous Learning Day for students. Teachers will hold live office hours via Zoom, and these hours are optional for students if they need any support or assistance with their work.  SACC will not be open. All in-person school activities are canceled for the day.

12:00-1:00 - Fine and Performing Arts 

12:30-1:30 - Sciences 

1:00-2:00 - CTE and UBMS Library

2 Hour Delay:
In-person and virtual PWCS classes will begin two hours late. AM bus transportation will operate on a 2-hour delay. SACC will open 2 hours late. Field trips are canceled. Parents / guardians should not bring their students to school early on 2 hour delay days – UBMS students may not be on school grounds or be dropped off prior to 9:45am.
